From what I understand the whole point is to make it easier to go up hill correct?? (skinning)   That seems to me like your making it easier for BC hiking to get to secluded spots.  Therefore it is functional and has a purpose, I'll respect most things that are different as long as they have some constuctive purpose.  If it makes it easier to ski up mountains and you have to ski slightly different as you come down then so be it, I'm not gonna hate on something different just cause I don't do it.  I don't hate on snowboarders for doing something different, snowbladers are kinda weak skis if you ask me so they get a bad mark from me but I still won't hate on ya if you ride them.  I will hate on some turd for having an "I'm better than you" attitude, no matter what your riding on.

I dont tele because i think people will care except for fags like u that think your hot shit when in reality u probably suck dick at ALPINE skiing in general. We are still on skis and who gives a fuck. Your a bitch and whatever you can do on Alpine skis i could probably do on tele skis. You are a fucking cunt.

Part2: first of all im going to hunt you down and cut off your nut sack, then im going to force you to eat your own balls, one by one. i personally dont understand why anyone would choose to ski tele in the park... id rather snowboard then strap on a pair. but that being said theres no reason to hate on it. Some of the chillest kids ive jibbed with ride teles and they kill it

I'm thinking of buying tele skis as my next skis, cause my Public Enemies are on the way out, I just put a mini rocker on them when i banged the tip on the post of a rail a few weeks ago. Im probably gonna be a pussy and try to find a cheap pair of alpine park skis though and just use teles all mountain and for powder, cause i don't have the skills to ride them in the park.

i think that kinda sucks man cuz unfortanutely thats all i've ever thought about teleing. i've respected it soooooooooo fucking much, but you just made realise i was respecting that they were on tele's not actually what they were doing, just the fact that they were doin it while on teles.

reading this thread has confused me and then confused me again and again.

first, the kids hating on tele: i don't get it- are you all aliases? i just don't see what there is to hate about teleing... i've never tried it and don't particularly intend to, but some of my friends do and they seem to like as much as i like alpine skiing. as far as i can tell (and mr threadmaker i promise you i'm much better traveled than you when it comes to skiing) telemarkers don't have a different attitude to anyone else. i've never been preached to by them and mostly they seem like chilled out mountain guys. if anyone (as a group) has attitude it us- newschoolers bitch about other types of skiers the whole fuckin time- cross country, big mtn, tourers, telers and even racers just do it coz they enjoy it and don't care what is deemed to be "cool". the same cannot be said about newschoolers.

yeah so basically all the nonsensical tele-haters: fear not, puberty will come and go soon enough. its just a phase.
