I'm not much of a reader outside of my english class, but i am sick, home from school, and i picked up this book my mom bought me to keep me away from my xbox and tv all day.
Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I am only a few chapters into it, but damn its so good.
kinda strange at first, but a good read.

He has also wrote some other good books such as FIght Club and Choke.

Loved fight club. Definitely a must read.

Kinda off topic but you should try Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6. 900 pages but one of the best books I ever read. Now I'm reading Patriot Games and its also good.

All of Palahniuk's books are good. Invisible Monsters, Survivor and Choke are amazing, and Fight Club is better than the movie.

lullaby is my favorite of his, diary is my least favorite.  the only thing i dont like about him is sometimes you get the feeling he slips into writing things to prove how "nihlist" or witty or counterculture he is instead of progressing the story in other ways. it almost seems like a dennis miller rant where he proves he is smarter and better than the peons that read his books,  but overall i like him.

I thought the same thing but it really is worth it. You never get bored, its almost action or building action the whole time.

Just finished reading Lullaby last night...
Hes a really fucking dark writer, but it's an amazing read. His other books are really good too.
Him and Kurt Vonnegut are my favorites...

really good author, especially when you learn hes a satirist and all his books are social commentaries mocking our culture. they are humorous and still realy gripping stories

chuck palahniuk is one of my favorite writers.  choke and fight club are a tie for my favorite book.  hes really good, id suggest looking into more of his books.

Its pretty funny your mom got haunted for you.  She obviously, didn't read the part about the kid who has to bite through his small intestine after masterbating/getting his ass sucked in the family pool - but then again, my other friend showed his mom cup chicks so I guess I could see that happening.

Anyway, yea his books are excellent - definitly my favorite writer.  All his books are so witty, and everything he says can be a quote.

Alltogether fight club is my favorite, probably because I read it first.

But in Survivor, the scene with the lobster, jsut blew my mind. I don't really know why, but it was just so perfect.

And you better hurry up and read Choke because they are making a movie of it.

if your in the mood for a quick read like 296 pages read "My Bloody Life" it is by Reymudo Sanches but that is just a cover name it is about a guy and his life story through the latin kings like joined gang at age 14 and had to kill some one.... crazy shit..

iv only read the first chapter. does it get better? its pretty amazing so far, iv got high hopes for the rest of the book.

i have read choke too. amazing.

fight club is a crazy book. if you read it for too long it makes you feel like you're going insane as well (it kinda did for me at least).

and if you want to read a disgusting short story look up "guts", its free on the net i think, and also by chuck palanhiuk
