A Story And A Question

Saturday had to be one of the most GLORIOUS days other then vis of the year, my pops had gotten some new Nordica Hellcats with Marker bindings that have little switches on the sides to move the toe and heel piece forward and backwards. He has been having issues all season with the right ski just popping off all the time just skiing (hes a great mtn. skier) he was probably going about 40 around the turn, and his right ski came off, so naturally it caused him to eat some gnarly shit. He landed on his left elbow and fractured his shoulder in 2 places. bummer i know.
BUT he has a ski trip to Telluride, Colorado. He can't ski for at least 3 weeks. (Doc says)
he has paid for everything already along with a day to Silverton. I GET TO TAKE THE TRIP! a week in Telluride and a day at Silverton...NEXT TUESDAY! Has anyone skied there? I know they have there park named Hoot Brown Memorial so im hoping its going to be sick,

whats it like there? how are the cliffs and such? whats the scene like?

tell your dad to do himself a favor and get some rossi/look bindings or atleast a jester.

The old marker can blow me, its fucking terrible. Just get rid of it it sounds like a demo marker binding anyways (even worse).

there actually a really high end binding, just not set close enough to have pressure on the heel piece...he got reamed.

You better have avy gear, know how to use it, know how to ski stuff other then the park, and be ready to hike, a lot, or you'll have a one run day at Silverton. AND they'll shut you down real quick if you try and bullshit them on your skill level.
T-ride is a great place, but it's not really a park mountain, if that's what you want.

yeah i have avy gear a prop, a peep, shovel, and ive been skiing since i was 3 so im going to give them my skill level and they should believe me, not park skiing, i would MUCH rather ski a big mtn line then a sick ass park anyday, im rented the poles needed. so im good to go. also...what does telluride have for drops and pow lines?
