Well I go to Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and it is an under 10 minute drive from the campus to Marble Mountain, which is about as good as you can get for east coast. park is not all there but we get quite a bit of snow and it tends to be lighter here than a lot of other places in the east, so tehre is really good tree skiing and the top is above tree line, even at only 1700 feet because it is so far North. There is also tons of great backcountry skiing all over the whole area, because it is in a long Mountain range, the northernmost part of the Appalachians. There is even a catskiing operation in the Blomidons(sp?). Also Corner brook has some really nice rails, and there is even a bunch right on teh campus, which is nice when you get those urges to do a 1 am urban mission. Plus there tends to be a pretty low bust factor in most parts of town. As for Academics, the school is a branch of Memorial University, which is the largest one in Eastern Canada, but this campus is pretty small (under 1000 students) Class sizes are generally around 30 students or under, which makes for nicer lectures . I guess this is kind of a long reply, just check the websites if you need more info:
