rapping in french and skiing on his own. he really doesnt care about comps or films anymore although he should be in 1 or 2 this year. he skis for himself unlike half the other pro skiers.
Just shut up man, you're speaking from the bottom of a hole now.
Mik is dope as hell, but he called out simon. That shit is not baller, I don't care who you are, simon is a killer in the pipe who needs to spin opposite and land sw more often. Tanner is pushing the sport in the right direction, Mik is doing the same thing he's done for years, only now he is grabbing nose and ditching his poles. I love his style, but he's nowhere near the forefront of "pushing the sport" and shouldn't be hating on simon for a dub he tried in some practice footy.
Haha. Seriously man.
Symms nailed it in this thread.
I just want to clarify some things.
Simon can spin both ways, he chooses not to because an alleyoop 9 is 10 times harder than a right side 5. Simon is making the best of the 4-5 hit pipes the mountainsare giving us to compete in. Untilthe mountains help us progress the sport by building taller and longerhalfpipes, we are left to choose what 4-5 tricks we think are best or more funto do.
A lot of you are assuming that people doing double flips and12’s are not having fun. How doyou know? I am going to guess thatthey are having fun because they are trying new tricks and pushingthemselves. After perfecting their180 and 5 nose grabs both ways, they probably got bored.
Tanner does doubles. Check out his movie Believe. He just does them in to pow. I bet hehad fun doing those.
Doubles are creative. People have been doing 5’s with grabsfor years. You can only spin a 5in so many creative ways before you might want to try a double. I would have to say that Lolo is beingway more tech and creative with his 5’s and 7’s this year by doing a screaminseamen in them and grabbing it.
For all of those hating on comps, need to change yourattitude going into the comp. It’sa day to ski with all of your friends and possibly make 100 new friends. Exactly what Simon and Jon are tryingto do this weekend with the North American Open at Breck.
Stop hating, go skiing, do 180’s or doubles, whatever makesyou smile.
