Right, because politicians always are completely honest. Anyways, platforms are extremely vague and don't really tell you anything besides their general philosophy. Check out voting records and where they get their money to see what they really will do.

yes, but voting records can be tricky too. obama outlines his plans pretty clearly. not sure about mccain, reading up on him now.
also candidates change their policies when running for prez, just look at romney and giuliani
