something like kings of pharaohs or something like that. i remember a thread about them awhile back and they were sick. anyone know what i'm talking about or am i clueless?

Would you happen to mean a supergroup composed of Celph Titled, Vinnie Paz from Jedi Mind Tricks, and a host of other outrageously good rappers known collectively as Army of the Pharoahs? I have links to both of their albums, hit me up with a PM.

Most of that shit is so angry, which i think gets old, like no i don't want to kill someone and drink their blood mixed with Hennessy. But i do have to admit the flows are pretty sick.

I agree to an extent, I used to be really into Jedi Mind, Celph, and all the battle rappers but I've recently moved to rappers who talk about real shit like Blue Scholars and Qwel. That being said, the battle rappers definitely have their place... I love listening to them for skiing and depending on my mood, driving or working out. The punchlines are always funny and make for a good listen, and as you said the rhymes and flows are pretty dope.

army of the pharaohs is good, but i have to agree all the violence and shit they rap about is gay. and its puts you in a real bad mood. i really like blue scholars, common market, and classified. all really good no violence and "ill kill you n*gga" shit

thanks for the suggestions guys. i'm a totally unhip old man who doesn't listen to the kids' loud angry music, so i really know nothing about...rap. i'll look into some of those other names though, looking forward to having a new genre in my library. thanks again guys, keep them coming.

Those are all pretty light and are for sure not like JMT or Celph Titled or any of that angry stuff. PM me for some album links if you want some, otherwise I'd just recommend you check them out on Last.FM (which not has lots of full tracks) and find which ones you want to invest time in downloading.
