How to cork!

Normally 540 or 720 would usually be done by spinning, turning your head and looking down for your landing, but how would you explaing the technique used to make a corked spin?

I going to the only freestyle camp in Denmark october 10th. Its in Tignes, France.

yeah they best way that i learned from friends is to drop your shoulder and tuck your head under your armpit and look under your arm

someone told me to, drop your left or right shoulder (depending on which way you spin) and then grab your left or right ski, again depending on which you spin

i was taught to drop the shoulder on the outside of the rotation and grab the outsife ski

ok, this is the technique that works for me (providing you spin to the left):

when you cork up, cork just like you would a normal spin. when you release, instead of throwing yourself to the side like in a straight spin, throw your shoulder across your body but only slightly down. if you throw it too far down you will go into a misty. i find that if you are spinning a 5 or a smooth 7 your feet will come back down to earth naturally, but if you are hucking it then you have to start to bring your feet down about 90 degrees before you finish the spin and land

simple lesson taught to me from the man who started it all JP Auclair:
your spine will follow which ever way it is tilted. Hence backflips tend to be easier if you lay them out and arch your back. Same goes for a cork 7. When you start your spin to the left look at your right ankle. Just tilting your head to the side will make everything corked out, and the more confident you get the more the cork will just come.

what i found out about doing them on the tramp, is that its easier if you dont huck it...itf you huck it, its harder to get your feet under yu for the landing...if you just set the spin enough for a 5, it shoudl be easier....i think this was already sed, but whatever.

and eya, if you spin left, look at your right heel piece on your binding..this was already sed too, oh well
