I'm going for these, too. I suggest you learn rodeos first.
Think of a rodeo, but instead of going (left-side) right foot to left ear, go right foot to left hip. searchbar this, too. It has some really good advice.

if you know how to throw a rodeo, its a rodeo that you dont go inverted on (99% sure). so you would just throw it less inverted i guess. i donno how to explain how to throw rodeo tho

ive been throwing like a rodeo/flatspin 5 i actually dunno what it is i just throw it like a lincoln with a 1 in there. i just huck like a lincoln-esk flip while i look behind my back so flipping to the right i look over my left shoulder and it automatically spins you there...if that helps at all. work on it on a tramp or diving board

i'm planning on learning them soon too... i learned them on a tramp this summer, they're not too bad. the jump from summer tramp to mid-winter east coast is tough though, haha. that youtube video is good.

Alright. Try these on a trampoline first for sure.
You have to practice these on a tramp A LOT before it becomes a natural movement. You have to take it step by step.
1. Pop. Make sure you get a good pop
2. Go to about 90 degrees (a little off axis), and then throw a backflip.
I know this doesn't sound like what the trick looks like in real life,
but once the trick becomes natural on the trampoline, then all of these
movements will look like a true flatspin. At first when you learn it,
you have to break down these movements one by one and then once you
understand the trick, it will become one fluid motion.
I haven't tried them on snow yet but I have them pretty much dialed on
tramps so any day now when i grow some nuts i will try it.
All times are Eastern (-5)
