thnx thats what is happening i think i just stop.. thinking my rotation will take me that extra step but i will just have to set harder.

don't open up you shoulders at 3.  keep looking over your other shoulder, spot the landing, spin harder and commit with your upper body

when i started i would switch 360 before the 5 to get pumped and get the landing backwards in my head and then hit the 5

ohh and as far as the landing goes look up the hill and make sure you square by the hill; dont look down at your feet thats a common mistake

yeah thats how i first tryed my 5's but i kept washing out now i give a quick look down then back up the hill

make sure you have 3's on lock first, very comfotable with them

so maybe if you're nervous do a few 3's and spot your landing then land like 450 or something to get the feeling of gettin pass a 3 and then just toss teh rotation a tad harder and instead opening up at 300/360 stay closed up but spot the landing with your head and as you rotate past 3...start opening up a little but make sure to keep your eyes on the landing...set down your tips at 5 but try to lean to far forward or back..just try to compress your kness on the land and you shoudl be good. hope that helps

I think throwing switch threes and getting comfortable with them, then go straight to the jump and throw the first 180 of it then play it like a sw 3

i learned by just doing a whole bunch of 180s on the jump i wanted to 5 and then yool have the right mindset for the 5.

Hit a bigger jump so you don't have to worry about how fast are you going to spin.Then just practice.

ya work on 180s. work on 360s. then think of it as a 360 plus a 180.

when i was learning it was a real psychological thing to tell yourself to keep rotating past the 3 mark. just make yourself keep going round and you'll stomp it. once you've done it once you'll find em real easy.

when i first learned 5's i though about getting the 3 around fast like as soon as possible with out spinning of the lip, and then spotting the landing and doing a slower 1. that worked really well for me, and i still do it when doing them off smaller jumps.

practice doing 180's off big jumps, so you can get used to switch landings, then just go for it. When you get to 360, spot your landing and just keep spinning. They are way easier than I wanted to believe before I tried.

Don't think of it as a 360 with a 180 at the end, because chances are you will get to 3, sketch out, and whip the last 180 around, which will look really sketch.  Keep looking around your shoulder and try to make one complete, smooth spin.

do a 360 with a 180 or maybe three 180s or you could even try a 720 minus a 180.

u cant just think of it as spinning a 5' u have to break up ur spin in ur mind, this will also help u spot ur landing and know were u are in the air when u actually go to do one. at least that is what helped me.

when you get to 360 don't think about it just huck yourslef farther and harder. but make sure you are landing on something that is easy and you are comfertabl landing switch on. don't open you legs at all. they will atomaticly when you do it right. you will know. and i did my first one in the pipe alyope. i think it might be easier but i thought i was doing a three but then counted it and it was a five. something to think about

landing 450 sounds like such a bad idea. if ur gunu go for a 5 then just commit 100% and ull get it for sure.

bad times thinking a 5 is way more than a 3.

its only another 180. think about it this way, how easy is it to just pop and 180 and land on the snow. mad easy. thats all you need more in your spin.

and just practice off some medium stuff and spin it faster so your comfortable with the rotation then go big and steeze it out on somethin big

Yah dude. Throw your spin as hard as you can! I'm sure it looks really awesome when you huck your spins so you look like a boner! In fact, screw grabbing too! We all know it's about the biggest spin possible too!

your tendency will to be to stop at 360 and you'll want to stop your rotation i.e.: open up and stop looking, but you've just got to commit  and keep telling yourself to do the extra 180, if you wash out the first few times dont get frustrated, just keep practicing and you'll eventually get it soon
