what do you guys think about there skis in general. my friend has these proforms so he can get them for cheap. i havent heard much about liberty. im just wondering how they are because he also has line proforms but there for last seasons skis.
Have you owned a pair in the last 2 years? I had the 05 stealths and now I have the hazmats and both were excellent skis. Liberty is a company that is willing to listen. So what if the first couple years weren't great. They've improved exponentially.
They're the best company I've ever dealt with. I just bought my second pair. They make bomber skis and will legitimately listen to any input you have.
A lot of people are going to rip on their durability. Yes, the first year Liberties ('04 I think) broke. A lot. But they've completely turned that around. My SB 180s from two seasons ago were spectacular, and I hear great stuff about their '07 and '08 lines. People who say they'll brake are ignorant.
such a legit company, no one else compares. Yeah there first yeah skis sucked.. I had a pair and snapped the suckers in half, but what do you expect from first year skis.. They recognized this problem and hooked everyone up. They have totally revamped there ski design now. Liberty is just a bunch of great guys.
as far as the ski goes i love the way it skis, it's really poppy when it needs to be and i love skiing it. Although the top sheet does have a lot of problems
I've got the Liberty Predator Pros and they are sh*t. Considering they're supposed to have extra durable edges I've lost the majority of my edge completely from the front edge (on a rail) from both skis and they've delamed. That's after one season of use.
However, having seen and touched this years models they look like they've sorted it out. The shapes look better as do the quality and even though my Predators have broken pretty quickly they were a really nice ski for doing everything.
Don't listen to people that say that they delam all the time. Those were the old models. The last 2 years liberty has really stepped it up and is making bomber skis. THe hazmats are basically the new KGB's and I absolutely love my KGB's, they are such a poppy, light ski, and they are just wicked fun.
liberty skis fuckin rock...ive got the hooks too and both my skis...KGB and SB's are fine...no breaks or delams and the topsheets are doin fine...they've worked out all the kinks from their first couple years where a lot of people broke em... go liberty!!!
No, the Hazmats are the new SBs. Either way, Liberty has been making some bomb ass skis for the last couple of seasons. I totally support them. I loved my SBs, and I just bought some Hazmats. As long as they're in business, I'll be a Liberty customer.
The sb and kgb are no longer in production. My hazmats are deffinitly less stiff than my stealths were but not very soft at all. The phil's are park skis. I'd expect them to be somewhat soft.
you're the east coast rep for Liberty aren't you? I was just looking at your profile and noticed you had the same email as the east coast rep (I only know that cuz I just happened to look at that page on the site like 5 minutes ago) I work at a shop in Jersey and I think we're planning on bringing in a few Liberties and I really can't wait!
I had some shit ass libertys the first year and they were crapola - I was definitely a hater back then - but i have to eat my words cuz theyre shitt is totally dope now. I ski on hazmats and they rock. The pow ski (i don't have it - would like a free pair please!) was called the best ever by freeskier and I have heard that the 08 is even better.
props to a company that didn't crumble and learned from their mistakes.
