Trampoline Skis

I dont want any shit for saying this but dont you think that a company should make sturdy, safe, legit trampoline skis? I dont know about you guys but i think that would be sweet. you could make them as heavy as your real skis and they could come in different heights.

would it be like a legit tramp board (guru board) only in ski form...that could work cuz it wouldnt hurt at all..bindings would be difficult tho

yea burton makes a 'tramp board'   my friends dad works for them and brought one home to my bro a while ago.

hes never used it haha

haha me and my grandmas boyfriend(yes that sounds weird) have talked about making trampoline skis and we might try to devise a way of making them this summer

i made my own by using those water noodles. i cut it in half then taped some old shoes to them.they worked pretty good.

i've been on y tram a few times with my normal skis on, it's so much hard work, you cant jump high at all and your feel like your hearts gonna explode after like 10 2' bounces. it's nothing like on a board, witch is ace fun.

If you had somthing that would flex it would be great. I made some out of thin plastic last summer. I think it was made to cover gutters from getting leaves in them but it worked well untill the plastic broke in two.

why not just save the hassle and say grandpa?

but that would be dumb, and unsafe. if you really want to recreate the feeling of skis all you need are weights on your feet.

here is what i am going to try this spring....I am going to find a tall cardboard box hopefully somewhere around 5 feet tall sorta like this one

and i am going to fold it down and cut along the spine of the box....then i am going to take some sort of plastic material and put it in the middle of the 2 cardboard pieces...not sure what its called....if anyone knows of any material that is flexible and would work let me know...then duct tape it all together and after that tie/mount an old pair of shoes to the bottom....not sure how im going to do that yet but i am working on it....if anyone has any ideas to add to this let me know...tried to give a demonstration using paint...sucks though

ive tried that more than once. even with real thick cardboard, like the shit we had (which was so stiff you could hardly bend it), the skis bend in a small number of bounces. not to mention cutting the cardboard is a pain in the ass. dont waste your time

The best thing is to take the wheels off an old BMX bike and cut open tennis balls and put them on the arm things the wheels attach too. Its so much fun to do like tail whips and backflips with it on a tramp.

some kid on NS a while back said they got some old snowlerblades and duct taped them up, then duct taped an old pair of shoes to them.

i just took a snowboard, some bindings and boots and put bicycle inner tubes with slits in the side around it, works great

Itd be nice if you had something light the same length as skis but bindings that youd be able to jump easily in (like flex your calves), just to practice your spins, weighting, and especially grabs. Ive duct taped my edges, but its hard to jump, heavy, and you can't really progress because its just too hard.

do what the kid said to do with those pool noodles, but so they arent flooppy just stick a metal rod threw the center.

ive done it before, all u need is some small skiis( i used 150s) without bindings.  then u tape ur shoes to them and jump.  you cant really flip tho.

ive tried creating many forms of tramp skis..yet it always seems that not being able to jump off my toes diminishes my just by alot

I did the same thing. I put coat hangers through mine to make them a little stiffer. They help a lot with grabs and I guess visualizing stuff in general.

justy duct tape the edges so it wont ever....u could just cut a pair of old skis down into like snow blade size...might try that this summer...nd that tramp looks hella low to the ground...

my friend and i used one of those sleds that is made of foam and has plastic type material on the bottom and totally haul ass and we cut one of them up into 4 strips and duct taped our shoes to them. it didnt work amazing at first because if you under rotated any flips or corks then the tips bent a lot. but we duct taped strips of bulsa wood to the bottom and now they are ligit and stirdy. ive had em for over a year and they still do me justice. it really helps with muscle memory too.

i actually think that you can get them like legit ones but i dont have a website or anything
i was at this trampoline place and asked the guy who owns it if there is any chance that he could get something for it and he sad that he is looking into getting a pair so if he doesthat would be dope and if the actually are real would be sick

ive done the noodle idea but i also used this thin really light wood adn just taped it to my feet. it was fun but once i started bouncing real high the wood cracked. i also did it with an old skateboard. that was alot of fun too.

i tried this too. it works but the stiffness of the ski does not cooperate with the flex of the trampoline. the solution to this is to use short skis. i used 151 chronics and they were too long.

this is the most legit way to do it i have done it multiple times and it works very well. but if ur tramp has really loose springs, itll break after like 1 summer of use
