Brake problems. HELP!

The brakes on my 166 foils (waist 83mm) have 90mm brakes on them. yet the brakes are resting about 2mm (0.2cm) from the edges of my skis, and when i put my skis together, the brakes scrape against the edges of the inside pair of skis. is this a big problem? worth getting wider brakes? any suggestions?

but the brakes have the rubber ends so it doesnt hurt the ski
