have you had a boot fitted by a bootfitter? I had to get a lot of work done on mine before they fit, but afterwards, no shin bang/loose heel/problems at all. I'd save all the cash you can and spend it on some boots you'll keep for years--that means investing in custom footbeds/shell blowouts/heated or custom liners. It is absolutely worth it in the end, more worth it that buying shitloads of skis when your boots are the problem.
