I think the reason we enjoy the smell of our own farts so much is because it subconsciously reminds us of how good it felt to rip. In the same way, the reason we hate the smell of other peoples' farts so much is because we're jealous because it must've been so nice for them to rip. That's my fart theorem.

i kinda feel like we enjoy ours so much because we know that we created something that will bring misery to everyone else around us. Everyone else around us hates the smell because it came from our ass.
