have fun trying to find a pair of 169's... they didnt make that many... and the kid is 5'7... and 169 bent would ski way to short... go with the 179 bent or the ep if your afraid the bent is to much ski for you (same size in height but the eps are softer)

is performance kind of a rating of how fun it is though, because a ski that doesnt perform well probably wouldnt be fun

MY $.02 = I own both and have skied them everywhere. I 1st bought the Bents but accidentally bent one on the back of my snowmobile. oops. so I found some EP's and got them. I have both skis mounted in the same place, 20mm back from center. I have to say that the EP's are just a bit more refined in the shape for pow riding. What they say about the early taper is for real, they don't hook as much in funky stuff. I think that the bents are far better for straight lining... Less side cut and all. and for some reason they rock up on the nose easier, but not as nice to butter... Really it doesn't matter what you get. Just go have fun on them. Ski them in the park if you want, who cares. I actually just rode my park skis (invades) for the first time this week for the whole season. You know what? My EP's rip waay better.

lol, this is reminding me of poles vs. no poles. The truth is, do what you want. its fucking skiing, just have fun for christs sake. There shouldnt be a ski police telling you what and what not to do. I agree, buying a rockered ski (hellbents/EP pros) specifically for park is a crazy idea, but I have never been opposed to crazy ideas. I am planning on getting a pair of bents pretty soon here, and you bet your sweet ass' that I will take them in the park to check them out, but I will still have my park skis, and my goats. I still enjoy camber, I enjoy going fast on groomers, and I enjoy the fast stability that it provides. Do whatever you want, but you should probobly be ware of owning only hellbents for everything, you might get annoyed. I imagine you have to be a pretty solid skier to handle them on groomers, so be aware that riding them on groomers probobly won't be like cruising on normal skis.

no offence but you picture makes you sound bitchey
and i havnt read all the posts so please dont hate if i am repeating something
if you havnt ever skied rockered skis dont put down 600-700 on skis then probably regret it because of the difference
maye demo or ski some first or get a specific rockerde park ski
