Season Ender...........rant

So I broke my collar bone last saturday casing a jump. The x-ray showed some seperation and the killington doc said I broke it in two places and I'd be out for about 6 weeks + or - and I'm like "fuck this blows i'm gonna miss a bunch of the season." well I go to the doctor back in Boston for a check, and she tells me that the way it broke if I don't get surgery I may have chronic shoulder issues for the rest of my life. So what all this means is that I go into surgery on friday, my mom decides she has to fly in from Ohio to make sure everything goes alright, and my ski season is just as fucked as it was last year when I broke my ankle. Sooo yea. Rant rant rant this just fucking blows cuz I was so pumped for this spring break after I missed an aspen trip last year. O and this means no drinking for a fucking while.

and i couldnt even ski the first two months.

yeh last night i got ot of hottub and steped right onto somebroken glass. needles to say i got a huge fuckin cut on the bottom of my foot. it suckks

i know kinda how u feel. just hyperextended my elbow last weekend. out of work for 1 week maybe more but cant ski for 2 weeks maybe only one if im lucky. sorry to hear bro hope the surgery goes well.

I was hoping for something similar, but I guess the way I broke it One side dropped down and in so that w/o surgery my armwould never move right and my should would look outrageous cuz it would always be curved in.

yeah, it sucks, but you have to slow down a bit before you kill yourself. Remember to take time to progress. 2 injuries in 2 seasons tells you are going to hard too fast. Get well soon man

I feel ya man I've been out with a broken arm (cast is past my elbow) for three weeks and i can't get back out til presidents day. It'll suck but get the surgery so it can't ruin your shit more than it already has.

Dude, trust me I feel you. 7 weeks ago I caught my outside edge on a landing the first day of jumping. Ripped my kidney into 5 pieces and partially collapsed my lung. 2 weeks in the ICU, 6 surgery's and 6 weeks of sitting on the couch later im finally noticeably recovered. Had a huge year planned with US, Aspen and a couple other opens. Shit sucks, but if you concentrate on getting in shape and shit it can really help you out once you get back on snow. Maybe you can use the money saved on skiing this year for a week at hood or whistler.

I feel you man, two season ago i missed the second half due to a broken wrist, this season i missed everything from january on due to a shoulder surgery, it sucks but i'll be skiing in may, hiking for my runs, but skiing nonetheless

I was just dicking around on bear trap and I didn't carry enough speed into the third kicker like an idiot. It was dumb, It looked like it was kicking hard so I hadn't been hitting at all and then I was just like fuck it, and went bigger than I expected and cased it, landed with all my weight on my shoulder.

Holy shit. That sucks, and makes me feel a little better that mine wasn't that bad. I'm headed out to snowmass with some friends next year for new years for a week of skiing all day and boozing all night, so it'll be nice to have some extra bill for that. but yea, maybe i'll plan a big trip to tremblant or somethin for spring break next year. Good luck healing up man.

not that its a good thing, in fact its really bad, but i prob know more/have more experience drinking on opiods then you could imagine. blow 4 mg of hydromorophone, drink a 6 pack of xxx and then get back to me

i disloacted my hip and was told i'd be out for 6 weeks by a french doctor, got back to england and the doctors here tell me i cant ski until next year...i feel for you man, hope the surgery goes well and all, good luck man

i didn't break my ankle skiing, i broke it jumping off a deck like a dumb ass.. and I cased the third jump on bear trap, it's not huge, but it kicked higher than i was expecting and I didn't carry enough speed.
