SKIING vs. GHANA...

Alright so I have been given a deadline. I need to decide by the end of the week if I want to go to Ghana for the month of February or not. For those of you who aren't farmiliar, Ghana's a country on the southern coast of west Africa. Sickest place in the world. So naturally I would want to go, miss a month of school, chill out, do what I want, have an awesome time... but what that means is MISSING A WEEK OF SKIING... I can't decide... is it worth it?

i would go. i mean its not everyday you get the opportunity to go to ghana right? and missing a month will not kill you. i assume you are older enough to live on your own...so you could always go out to whistler or somewhere in the summer or something and then that would make up the month you missed.

i spent about a month in kenya and nairobi, enough to say go if you really want to, skiing will always be there

skiing or africa, thats a stupid question, you can ski every winter for the next 20 years and will probably never get the opportunity to go to africa again, and my friend went to ghana and said it ruled.

ya, you can ski every winter for a long time and many other weeks this winter... and i mean really? when are you going to get another chance to get malaria, witness an armed rebelion or get ebola or some shit, or just straight up robbed. sounds good, have fun in africa.

I've been to Ghana before, the village I stay in doesn't have running water or electricity. But from what I hear the electricity lines are getting closer and closer. It's terribly sad, they deserve electricity and all but it makes me especially sad to know how TV is going to corrupt their young people.

4 weeks of skiing is alot but its worth giving it up to go to Ghana, i mean think about it as if you stayed home to ski for those 4 weeks even if they wre insanly awsome wouldn't you still regret not going to ghana, even just a little bit?

i wouldn't even have to think twice about staying home and skiing. think of how fast a ski season goes by, then think how much faster it would go by if you missed those 4 weeks.
how long could you take a place in the middle of a jungle, no tv, no air conditioning, no running water, not SHIT. it would be nice to see, but if you've already been there, do you think it would be worth seeing again?
