so it's actaully above your ankle? that soudns really weird, pull out the liner and feel around in it and see if theres anything in it, then check the shell to see if t here anything looking out of the ordinary. If you go to a bootfitter, they will probably just heat your boot, pound where you feel the pain and create a gap between your boot and leg to relive the pain.

in the liner where its like fur then it goes to like black maerial where it is sewed that is where the pain is comming from

i had the same problem from my old boots. I cut the seem wide open and duct taped them. worked great, then i got new boots. Or you could just take them to your local boot fitter.

could it be the actual stitching of the black stuff to the fur stuff, because i know for a while i found that particular stitch rather uncomfortable in both legs, but it'll go away eventually I found

ya, mine just eventually went away. theres not much you can do about it anyways, so if it doesn't you might just have to suck it up or get a new liner or something.

I was actually thinking of purchasing this boot. The black things in the plastic bad are for the adjusting the heel. If you remove the liner from your boot you will see a removable black foot pad. On the side of the foot, where the heel is, there are holes for placing one of those black pieces on.
...still unsure what the silver colored rings are for tho...i think it theres like 6 of em...

I think canting is like angle of the boot and stuff, basically I think it's for people with foot problems/uneven feet, or if you have a special case. If i remember correctly thats what the shop told me, if your riding fine you shouldn't need them. The black things adjust flex, those are nice to use if you want to stiffen it up.

I had a lot of problems with the stock furry liner. I tried the gold intuition and had even more issues with a seam right on my ankle bone. then they sent me the silver intuition liner and they couldn't be better. No seams, No fur, No Problems. Even my boot fitter went fron the Gold (race) to the slightly softer Silver. Def look for some of those

Don't screw around with the canting, unless you know what you're doing.
And, well, how bad is the pain, like what sort is it? Bruise sort of pain? Rubbing (i.e. blister feeling)? Just irritation (like somethign scratching?).
Bruise could be some sort of pressure point. Rubbing would be improperly fitted boots or pressure points. Irritation would most likely be the liner...

Can you get them into a shop?
Depending on where the pressure is coming from, they can grind down some of the shell in that area or pad out the liner a bit

sounds like a tough area to grind. The toe box is easy I don't know about above the ankle. The seem was uncomfortale to me at first but it went away after 2 days of riding. I'd go see a shop/ bootfitter, they might be able to fix the seem or blow out the liner or something.

It isn't easy to grind there, but it's very doable if it isn't right on the hinge/canting adjustment area. It's done very often when there are issues around the ankle bone

word I wasn't sure how thick the shell was in that area
