First Gulf War

Doubtless a justified war given the circumstances. I want to know however what you guys think. Should the Americans have pusued the Iraqi's to Baghdad and disposed Saddam Hussein While world favor was still on their side? or did they do the right thing.

How do you think it could have played out diferently had that happened? Would the coalition have been sucked into the same mess they enjoy today or do you think a transition government would have been more successful?

I belive that the US made a mistake in not deposing Saddam Hussein when world opinion favored our actions. disregarding the arguements later made, including weapons of mass destruction, he had proved that he was power hungry, brutal, and agressive. we should have removed him during the first gulf war, for he invaded another soveriegn nation for an obviously expansionist cause. It is possible that during the regime change we would be facing the problems we have in current day Iraq, but with more world support, it is more than likely we could have prevailed
