Skiing Europe: A conclusion I have made

My conclusion: If you plan on skiing in the Alps, you should also plan on getting mauled by another skier at least once. Why? From my experience, collisions are very common in the Alps. I would say 50% or more of the riders on the mountain here, are complete gaypers. Many of the skiers and snowboarders here ski completely out of their level, charging groomers and nailing people like me. If you think they will stop and say sorry, your usually wrong because many of these out of control skiers think they are complete hot shit and its obviously not their own fault. My dad was also mauled by some joey from god knows where.
Anyway, today I got mauled by some fuck in a green and yellow one piece suit. He was hauling ass and I was taking nice GS style turns, trying to stay aware of who is behind me. Then greenfuck hits me and skis off (while I sit there spitting blood) without giving a flying fuck. Oh well maybe karma will give him an awakening, otherwise you can share your stories to make me feel better.

haha i know what you're talking about, it's the goddamn english and danish tourists who have never seen snow before. they're here in norway too and i got mauled three times last season and only waiting for the first time this season. one guy last season skied into me form behind and he fell, i didn't, and i think he broke his nose or something, he was covering his face with snow to stop the bleeding. suits him well and oh i mean to recall he skied on blades. yeah

There are a lot more gapers/mooks in Eastern North American resorts compared to what I've seen in the Alps. It does suck on the weekends if you're on the ski out. Mooks suck no matter where you are.

wow, the first signs of hate creeping in here, it had to happen some time... I don't think us Brits are as bad as some...
and yea, I have loads of respect for British skiers, we have no snow.... and if you live where I do; no indoor slopes I have never skied in the UK (unless you include my house), where I have been known practice, but that's for another thread....

this was not adressed to all the british and danish ppl who actually can ski, and i'm sure there are a lot of them who are better than me, but you got to admit that the MAJORITY of english and danish ppl aren't good skiers. they may have eyes, but sure as hell don't know how to steer their skis.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THREAD CREATOR: This wasn't in any way directed towards English people. The guy that hit me was French. You kids can chill now because I respect English skiers even if some of the gapers suck balls. I also never said I was better than anyone so why make everything competitive. If you want to see how I ski go ahead and watch my videos then flame, whatever. AS far as my statement goes, I have just noticed way more fucking idiots here in Europe than the states. I, in no way directed this towards the English so where did you come up with that?

I wasn't aiming anything I said at you, I was aiming it at the guy who said English & Danish ppl, had never seen snow, and were the root of all Evil. I don't think anyone was aiming what they said at you....

copy that! I Just returned from a trip to Zermatt in Switzerland it was SICK even though it was lacking fresh Pow, the park was pretty tight, although you had to ski down a super-flat red run and grab a chair lift that takes 5 minutres up to the top of the mountain and ski another 5 to get to the park every time you finished, either that or walk to the start again (come on guys get a freakin' lift or something...)
On an angrier note; I was taken out by a border and ended up taking out a saftey barrier and ending up with my head a foot away from rocks on both sides, I'll upload it to youtube later on, I was thinking about this thread after I wiped out andI was like "hmm I should film this". sorry I wasn't recoding what the twat hit me.... I'll post a link later on

Yeah Europe is just.... better. But Utah is the shit for snow so I can't complain. As far as epic mountains, Alps are the best.
