so i know this might should weird but today i was gettin my brother skis mounted and they screwed em up and they wernt at center so i was like just moved em foreward and all. then i realized that with tele inserts u can its amzzing. so for example i ski my big powder skis and if i wanted to i could just go over and re mount em right on the mountain. now why dont we have this technology for alpine skiin. (i tele though) they should put this into park skiing and what not. for example skis are drilled for 4 differnt positions the top being 1+ center the next being center and the next being 2- center and the final being just recorational. when you would order the skis you could choose two differnt points and they would drill the ski for those two. but unlike drilling twice like u would have to with another ski. the manufacutr just inplants places for screws when they are constructing the ski.
