So i've been to lots of concerts.....at least 50 or more....over the past year i have been to hardly any. Monday night comes and my gf takes me to a metal show....we stand pretty close upfront right side of the stage. At points in the show my ears hurt but i just thought the band sucked a lot. Show ends, go home, my ears feel dull and deff as they do after any fair sized show. However i wake up next morning right ear is still ringing, this has never happened before....after a good sleep i'm usually fine.......rings all day....go to bed still ringing, wake up again still ringing and not changing at all...its fucking driving me nuts, i can hear it soo well and shittty......anyway to help my ears heal or make the ringing go away???
my ears ring all the time. i have tinnitus. i only hear it when its real quiet though. even then it doesn't really bother me anymore. although it saddens me that ill never be able to hear complete silence again.
dude, the exact same thing happened to me when i went to see gwar and cradle of filth. i was right under one of the speakers and i couldnt hear shit on the way home.
woke up the next day and my ears were still ringing like a mofo, couldnt hear half the shit people were saying to me.
It stayed like that for 3 days, started getting better after that, i was all better after 5 days.
i've been to a ton of concerts as well and my left ear is definitely damaged. i never use it when i talk on the phone and i lowered the volume of the left speaker in my car...i'm also going to start wearing ear protection at shows from now on. i really don't want to lose my hearing, since my dad has tinnitus and it sucks
i have tinitus so my ears are ringing every hour of the day everyday. kinda sucks but ive gotten used to it to the point where i dont notice it that much.
i doubt it. my eardrums have ruptured about 7 times between the two, and they never ring. huge pressure build up enough to make your cry then it releases and it feels like heaven. it should go away though man, if not doctors don't bite you know.
I have been playing music in bands since I was in high school and have had tinnitus since I was 17. It will always be there (key of C sharp, btw).
At this point I am so used to it I don't even hear it unless there is discussion about hearing loss or damage. The lesson here is, however:
ALWAYS WEAR EARPLUGS!!!!!!!
You can buy them in bulk and they are super cheap. I always have a few pairs in my coats, jeans, etc. My band brings a big box to gigs to hand out to people that don't have them.
