if i rember correctly he was in the x-games way back when on skis and i bleave he won a ford SUV but was to yung to drive so gave it to his mom am i rembering correctly?

I read in an article that shaun white skiied when he was very young and was such a mad man going fast on them that his family put him on a board in hopes that it would slow him down. I don't think he ever competed in any type of skiing.

he used to ski, but not that kind.  Than he switched to snowboarding, and in one year his parents forced him to ride switch because he was going to fast.  Thats why he can ride both ways.
