Well i managed to dislocate my shoulder after trying a switchup on a box and wiping out. It popped out then popped back in while i was getting back up...long story short i went to the hospital two days later and based on the description the doctor told me i had probably partially dislocated my shoulder rather then fully dislocate it. Im in a sling for 3 weeks total, and then he said its up to me if i want to ski.
Two weeks afterwards (today) it feels great, still sore in some movements if i move it too high. Other than that, its relatively pain free. Im a very strong guy (5 year bodybuilding amateur competitor, although ive quit that) and have faster then normal recovery rates for all my previous injuries.
My question for you guys, is those who have had a dislocated shoulder or maybe similar injuries, or know of friends that have - how long before they were skiing again, and did they face any troubles, or have a reoccuring injury?
Cheers
