naviance is alright.  i like the graphs, they help me find out where i belong and if i have a realistic chance of getting in.  but they only have the averages of kids who apply from your school, so it is flawed.  it works best if a lot of kids from your school have applied there.

Yeah we get like 2 or 3 sites, I cant remember of the other ones we get though but I think there like naviance but just a tad different, maybe info thats not on naviance. Honestly im not worried about not getting in anywhere because im not applying to a Stanford or Ivy League school and I dont like most of California anyways, some parts alright. Im more looking at places I have a chance of getting a scholarship from because I hear its hard to get scholarships from big state schools and my parents would think its a waste to go to a state school without some scholarship.

What a joke. UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Michigan, University of Virginia are just as good or better (depending on what field you're going into) as Northwestern and Chicago and they're all state schools.

In those states, the best school you're gonna get is University of Washington. Its a really solid school.

Its a joke that you think Univ of Virginia is a good school. Michigan has some exceptionally smart students but for the most part its an average school.

I thoroughly enjoy westminster. Its tiny and the party scene isn't great, but I have friends at the U so I get my good small school education here and get drinking from those kids.

if you do want medical, University of Washington has certainly been ranked #1 (Harvard is #1 for med research) in the country for primary med year after year, and it pretty much satisfies everything else.

You're a joke.  UVA is probably one of the best, if not the best public school in the country.  And honestly, if your looking for big name colleges, you're looking in the wrong region.  There are plenty of good schools where your looking, but no big name ones that would please your elitist parents.

Virginia and Michigan are usually ranked top 2 for public universities. I can't speak much for virginia, but I know for certain that Michigan is ranked top 10 in a bunch of fields, especially in engineering, medical, and business fields.
