The middle buckle (the cable link) is not staying buckled and poping up with the slightest impact.
Short of duct tape what can I do for skiing tomorrow?

are you buckling it tight enough? You can unscrew the cuff screw and shorten the cable for a tighter fit.... other than that, I don't see why it would be unbuckling.
Unless the buckle's spring mechanism is broken, in which case you could go to a ski shop and get a new buckle for the boot.

Try buckling the buckle tighter?
Also, try using the micro adjustability and make it tighter like that.

sounds like the spring mechanism may be broke... take them to a ski shop and have them fix it... the repair shop at your local mountain should have the replacement spring if you're in a rush to get it fixed.

there is a screw on the inside and outside of the back shell piece, right around your ankle, i think they are the only screws on the shell...but anyways unscrew them take the entire piece off there you go...and the the thread maker, try not buckling them so tight

If you're sure it's not one of the springs, either the one on the length adjustable screw, or the buckle itself. Then lengthen the screw on that buckle, so your buckle has a longer reach. If that doesn't work, then have your shop look at it. You may be able to ride with it loose, but that buckle is the most important one on the kryptons.

check to make sure your buckle track isn't bent or worn down somehow in the tooth you buckle into. I don't think it could be the spring becsue when you buckle in the spring creates the shortest possible distant to the buckle which would be the exact same thing as if there wasn't a spring at all.
