I am going to Utah the last week of feb. We are looking to ride a couple of different mountains and since we are coming from the east coast we don't care so much about park but want good mountain riding. We were thinking of staying near Snowbasin and riding there &Powder Mtn and maybe trying some mtns closer to park city also. We want to be away from crowds and go to places that are chilled out. What are everyones thoughts on Snowbasin & Powder Mtn and what are your suggestions near Park City? My husband snowboards so no Alta. Thanks!!!
i've heard powder mountain is pretty off the chain. for other places I'd recommend checkin out snowbird and brighton looks pretty fun too. although i've actually never ridden at any of the resorts I just mentioned, i have passes to park city and alta, but since alta is not an option you should check out snowbird.
I personally did not like snowbasin but it was a shitty weather day so maybe its better than what I saw. I hear powder is sick but Ihaven't been. Definately go to snowbird for some really sick terrain. Also if you want to ski the park city area and avoid crowds and park, canyons is a lot of fun with easily accessible backcountry stuff off the 9990 lift. Brighton is also a good place to check out, not many crowds and a bunch of fun terrain.
