I have my opinions on everything mentioned on this site about this year's X games with Tanner and Simon and Booing, but in this thread I just want to point out one more thing that is even more frustrating than everything else mentioned:
Why is Mike Douglas allowed to be a judge determining medals when he is the Salomon Team manager. It is poor sportsmanship every time he votes for one of his athletes, and every time he votes against them I feel like he thinks he has to do so. Did anyone else see the look on Jacob Wester's face when Mike Douglas voted against him in favor of Charles Gagnier? Jacob must have thought it was such a joke, and of course he would vote in favor of Charles.
Dear ESPN,
Mike Douglas is a great guy and a true embassador to the sport, but it is a conflict on interests to have him as a judge every year when each of the contests he is either judging or commenting on include Salomon Athletes. It is growing old listening to him build up each one of "his" own athletes on Salomon. Maybe this is far-fetched, but I am over it. Get some one else.
Oh, and fire Sal Masakela, or whatever that dude's name it -- he should not be the face of the X games.
Regards,
Fondle
