question about salomon pro boots

what is the difference between these and the 1080 boot? also is the 27 and 27.5 shell the same size? this is all on last years model

im pretty sure the pro models are stiffer then the 1080s, i mite be wrong

stiffer, built on a different last, narrower everywhere, thinner liner, better boot. Same fit as their 'race' boot.

so i got a wide foot, so if a 27 1080 boot fits me, would a 27.5 pro boot fit too?

I just tried both of them on 4 days ago. The pro model has a stiffer lining and
they heat it to fit your foot. The not pro model has some 'memory foam' stuff
that's softer and squishier. I thought that the not pro model was more comfy
so I got it. But thats just me... The pro model's stiffer liner wasn't very fun for
me.

the pro model is basically a race boot, super stiff and narrower, if you're looking for a freeride boot that's stiffer than a 1080 go with the xwave 10 or 8 even

Last years Salomon website said that the Pro Model stiffness is 95, which is between the 90 of the X-Wave 8 and the 100 of the X-Wave 9. The X-Wave 10.0 and CrossMax 10.0 are 110 stiffness I think. The 1080 boot is 75 or something, and the Course race boot which the Pro Model is based on is rated at 120.
Not sure if these have changed or not, but I doubt it.

1080 is a slacker boot! based on the x-wave 7...pretty recreational...only diference is the cushion stuf..as for the pro, its a race one,but softer and with the cushion stuff.

last years crossmax was 100, this years is 110, totally different boot, the crossmax ski and the screams are completely different as well

ok sweet so the pro's probably the boot for me, i used to have old x scream 7s, i assume they are a lot flexier than the pro boot, but ive been looking for something more stiff. also is the 27 and 27.5 shell the same size?

Yeah 27 and 27.5 shell are same size, liners are even the same size..the only diference is the foot bed..
