2007 Slomon (1080) Thruster: Your Rating

Found a pair of '07 Thrusters for $400 with bindings brand new, just want to make sure that this ski is not a piece of shit, which i shouldn't want to buy, even for $400 bucks.
I cant seem to find a review on a ski from last year, (not that surprised) so i've come here to hopefully hear some testimonies from ppl who have ridden them.
If you can, just tell me what you liked and didnt like about the ski, or more importantly, if i should buy them, i have more options, but if i can get an amazing ski for 400 bucks, im down with that. Oh, and anyone who has ridden last years AND this years, what the difference, other than the 3 mm width gain?

overpriced
only difference between the 07s and 08s is that the 08s have a wood core and are a little wider.

ur an idiot. the 1080/ thruster is a great ski fr the right person. its light, nice pop and can do all right out of the park.
and there is a difference betwwen this years thruster and last years. this years is based on last years dumont ski. it has a wood/foam core and slightly wider dimensions than the old thruster (83mm in the waist). this years dumont is FULL wood core. it depends on the binding but its an ok deal, not great, but okÂ

don't know much about the ski, except the ones my friend has the front half of the top sheet started to rip off, but he was able to epoxy it and it's holding up so far. they are also really light. I think you could probably find a better deal than that if you looked around though. My buddy got some 06 Rossi Scratch sprayers with bindings for about $270.
