Salomon STH-12's

Heres what I know. The new Z12 uses the Quadrax hole pattern for the toe. The STH12 and the Z12 are very similar bindings. I believe the STH12 is a beefed version of the Z12, the major change being that the STH bindings have metallic reinforced toes and heels. On other metal sollies (labs and 997's..etc), only the metal housed bindings have the 5th hole in the heel. So putting that all together without the actual jigs to compare, I think only a partical redrill should be required as the toes of both bindings are the same. But don't quote me on it, definitely check it out with your shop before you buy.

p.s. Why are you going from a Z12 to an STH12 anyways, the bindings are so damn similar..

Dont have the bindings infront of me but i'm near positive that the same jig is used for both Z12Ti and STH12 - (Although that doesn't guarantee that they have the same screw pattern, but they must be close)

I love the Z12's, don't get me wrong...it's just that 50% of the time I land jumps the little white sliding piece under my toe slides out to the side and I have to stop and hit it back in. On the STH's there's no sliding piece. Plus, the prices for STH's have dropped.

If I glued the sliding white toe plates in place would that mess anything up? They really piss me off so I'm thinking of gluing them in place permanently.

my buddy is having some troubles with his sth12s, mind you he rides pretty hard and probly shoulda gone with the 16s

they are such burly bindings what problems is he having?
