yeah it's the kuro...but the chopstick is also reverse cambered and is a symmetrical ski

And to the comment above about not waiting to see what comes out in a year. I'm still very happy with my 07/08 Hellbents, even seeing all the 09 stuff. Nothing much has changed except for graphics.

Just to let you guys know...

ROCKERED DOES NOT EQUAL REVERSE CAMBER...

Reverse camber is when the entire ski is completely reverse.. such as the spatula or pontoon. there is no flat spot in the middle, or if there is, its quite small, and there is no natural camber whatsoever.

the EP Pros, ARG's, Hellbents, Moment Melees, etc all are rockered.. (or in Line's language, early risen) If you are to stand on any of these skis, you will either notice that the bottom is flat, or, that there is a little bit of natural camber (the Hellbents and EP Pros especially show this off)

the natural camber allows the ski to at least work SOMEWHAT on groomers.

The Hellbent for example.. works on K2's 3 piece rocker system. Where the tip and tail are practically whole different parts of the ski, than the natural camber middle.. so it creates sort of a wavy lookin ski.

the EP Pro, has a natural camber, but the tips rise up and taper in.. sort of the opposite but equal effect.

I'm not 100% sure about the ARG, but it's probably a similar effect if you notice the crazy sidecut dimensions it has...

ARG's are reverse side cut meaning fatter under the foot and skinner at the tips and it is a true reverse camber just not very much

those look sick and i cant wait to hear about the chopsticks, my one beef with rockered skis is how badly the scissor when you hike with them over your shoulder, such a nusence

well it all depends on how much retardly wide means for you

if the skis is 120mm or + underfoot, chances are it's gonna flaot a lot if mounted properly.

now if you had the rocker or the reverse camber, it's gonna flaot more right??
If you make something not retardly wide ( for today standards I'd say 110-115) and use the rocker or reverse camber. you have something easier to spin around on jumps drop and even gromed runs without loosing much floatiness.

yeah thats the kuro ... but the chopstix do look sick! If i was in japan or somewhere with daily pow then they would be the ski i'd want.. also in reply to the guy above.. I got line elizabeths (110 waist) and if they were a little longer and had a rocker they would be an even better ski i reckon.. well basically i want rockered SFBs !

Actually, they arent fully reverse sidecut.

They go 125-135-133-134-120

Meaning, they are sorta wavy and stuff. pretty wild.

the sidecut looks crazy tho

the Chopstick (148/128/148, 175 and 185 cm, 550 euros nu)

where will most people mount these. this will be my first year i am thinking about getting rockered/reverse cambered skis. if its symmetrical, is it stupid to not mount them modern or true?

since the chopsticks are symetrical, im assuming they want you to center mount them.
therefore, having a reason to make such a fat ski, thats rockered....i assume they want it to be a park ski yet still be great in the pow and pow ski...its a diffrent approach to what the hellbents were made for.
you tell me. im taking a shot in the dark.

Well most of that is right, but the Pontoon are also rockered and not a full reverse camber ski like spats or the DPS Lotus.

this is gay to even argue against correct/incorrect terminology, BUT the pontoon is not reverse camber, its rockered/flat underfoot, and the EPs dont have camber, theyre totally flat underfoot as well. Boy, do i feel better now that we got that cleared up!

Yes, you would centre mount them. but that DOES NOT make them a park ski. the ski is made for dropping cliffs, skiing switch in pow and buttering in pow. and by the way, anything that is 128 underfoot is definetley NOT a park ski.
