Honestly call me a hippie or whatever but try meditation. Go somewhere without distractions and just clear your mind and just think positive vibes. Thats what I do and it helps me figure shit out, and ultimatley makes me a happier person. I used to get depressed for dumb ass reasons or none sometimes and you just gotta get through it. Most of the time that means just take sometime for yourself.
Bump. This is probably the best advice. I went throught some pretty rough times and have been severly depressed before so I know what you're going through. The more you get outside and get sun the better you will feel - the optic nerves in the eye send messages to the brain that help to boost the seretonin (happy chemicals) levels. Talking will help, and anti-depressant meds also help if you find the right one and are on a low dose. I still take anti-depressants and I did have to go through about 3 to find the right one - clinical depression runs in my family. I can't tell you how much of a difference just 10mg (which is TINY) a day makes. I don't know how long you've been depressed for, but you might have seasonal depression (which does happen in people often). Definitely talk to a doctor, even if it's just your family physician. If you get in with a crappy pyschologist, they can really screw you up. If the person has his or her degree from the interpersonal college of clinical psychology or ITTech online or something, get the hell out of there.
