i flipped over to tsn the other night hoping to catch one of the hockey games and instead they're televising a bunch of greasy virgins battle each other on halo 3. what the hell is this shit? is this the future of male entertainment? first, it's a bunch of old, fat hicks playing poker, and now this. jesus christ.

Hey Asswhole, MLG is the shit. IF they have poker and painball why not Video Games. Some people I know are paid 100k. to go to events.

i've seen that on g4 tech, the one guy(maybe whole team) is sponsored by redbull, yea, he sits on his ass and plays a sci-fi game and gets sponsored by redbull. he even rocks redbull shit, like the hats everyone on here gets a boner over, stuff like that. doesnt make sense to me at all....

yep, i've been on the forums for a couple years following it, and its gotten huge over the last few years with some serious money.  Don't hate on it, some of the pros are actually pretty cool, not your typical fat geeks.  I've never been to an event because i'm not that serious about halo, but it's pretty cool.

i've been to some mlg events and most of the people aren't like the stereotype. it's actually really fun and i don't see why you have to hate on it for being on tv. if you don't like it watch something else

one time i got perm banned from  a server and the clan everyone hacked. i knew some of them so i know this btw and i was like 36 and 10 playing legit against all hackers so i got perm banned.... and i was on a laptop i'd say thats legit.

thats dope man, one of my friends from my home town was MLG for halo 1 and 2, he was on the number 2 team and then went off to the air force for a while, but he still is MLG now i think

Alot of video games are becoming what is considered an "e-sport". Some of the largest out there are Fifa, Halo, Starcraft and World of Warcraft.

There is an aspect in World of Warcraft where you make teams to fight in an arena, gladiator style matches. This arena fighting gets ridiculously competitive. They had a tournament not long ago where it was the best 5 vs. 5 teams in the world coming together. The first place team received $500,000. That's just sick.

i dont even play that, but back when i played halo 2 all day i was gonna be on this cal team and an mlg team both made it far but thats soooo gay and i knew it was too far so i stopped playing completely.
