DALBELLO KRYPTON RAMPAGE vs SALOMON SPK KAOS....which boot is better any opinions! both are like 400$ so price is not an issue...any opinionzah

Listen bud, your a idiot. Ill explain why.

The SPK Kaos is a wide boot, slightly wider than the foils. They are also relatively soft if you are over 130 lbs.

The Kryptons are very narrow, MUCH narrower than the SPK's. They are also a pretty stiff boot, more all montain orientated.

There is no way in hell that both of these boots fit your foot. Everyones fott is differnt, and requires a different boot.

I would paste the link to my boot fitting thread here, but I hightly doubt you will even read it.

No hate, but those two boots are possibly the worst comparison possible - almost a whole CM difference in width -which is a shitload.

Comparing apples and flagpoles.

there are actually many different kryptons depending on what you are doing.  The Pro=solid charging boot..  and then there are others like the rampage or cross which are softer...  get your foot measured up AND def try the boots first.  The heel cup in the kryptons is pretty narrow and it doesn't get much wider going forward...

Ok....so usually I am a pretty big troll..but this constant boot question is really disturbing to me.  It amazes me how many people go to a store and buy a boot right off the shelf because they like the look of it or have heard other people liking them.  Or even worse the internet buy judging by ones shoe size 

For instance....the first pair of boots i ever bought (around 7 years ago) were a 26.5 salomon X wave 8, I now ski on a 24.5 rampage.  The reason for this is because i actually got fit for boots the second time.  Boots aren't like shoes, I am a 9.5 shoe size but wear a 7.5 boot.  Boots should fit tight, this means that the boot that actually fits your foot best will prob be uncomfortable as hell the first time you try it on and prob stay that way for the first few times on the hill.  For that reason it is impossible to just see what feels comfortable and go for it because if it actually fits it will prob be uncomfortable.

Long story short do yourself a favor and spend the extra time to get fitted.  You will save plenty of broken toe nails, shin bang and all the other inconveniences that come with unnecessarily large boots. Not to mention the huge gains in performance you will recieve.

^ and just to clear it up...i went into the store with an open mind to buy whatever fit my foot the best.  The only reason i ended up with dalbellos is because dalbello was the best fit for my foot and the reason for the rampage was my desire for a soft boot.

i dont have time for fucking boot fitters rofl i am ordering online for a reason if i could leave my house and drive 2and a half hours to get boots get them fitted and get a setup i would but i dont quit assumign all this shit like u kno what ur talking about cause u dont know my situation ive been skiing 13 years and id idn't know shit all about it until a year ago i just had fun skiing and im prob better at it then you..im happy u gave me the information i needed cause i had to buy online without seeing..and i love how all u kids post on new schoolers shoving facts and info around tryna earn respect online when the guys already done gettin his information but realy nobody cares becuase if u aint good at skiing and you know your shit your really just a pos. ty

so you're pissed at us for telling the truth and pass off everything we say as a claim then you claim yourself? where do you ski, they'll have a shop, buy your boots there.  And one thing, i don't write on this site for respect, i write to help kids out but i guess you could say they were one in the same. So you say you're a better skier than i am but i can basically gaurentee that i'm doing more for the sport than you are.

personally i dont no how it is even the slightest bit possible to compare these boots and i no that from pure experience .. i have the rampages and one of my friends has the exact size spk i would need and i no this cuz i went to a boot fitter but i cant stand the spk boot beause it was so wide compared to my rampages

and you no what dude you are a true asshole because all the kids on here did was try to help you out like i am right now but you paid no attention to them and just said all this bullshit about how they dont no what they are talking about on what not but you no what they do and you are the one who has no clue

ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT BOTH BOOTS FIT INSANELY DIFFERENT FROM THE NEXT...

these boots are also intended to be VERY DIFFERENT BOOTS on the mountain...

the SPK is what I would call primarily a PARK ORIENTED BOOT.

the Rampage is more like what I would call a very versitle ALL MOUNTAIN BOOT.

the Rampage can be very nice in park, still pretty stiff at its softest setting, but it has the ability to take the forward lean out.. allowing it to be better for switch riding. It can also have an aggressive forward lean put in, and then stiffened to obscene levels where the boot can then be thrown everywhere on the mountain.

the SPK is fantastic in the park, because it is light as shit, soft, and quite comfortable...


GO TO A BOOTFITTER.

dude obvs go for the rampages.. i mean like whats more iller than white boots, not to mention tanner hall uses them so they have to be good.. like you really have no reason to listen to all these fools who think its important for your boots to fit "right", the mountain is a fashion show and you cant ride good unless you look good.

I have the krypton rampages, love them. highly customizable. great for narrow feet. obviously as stated before both of these boots won't fit you. However, I do feel the dalbello is a better made boot then the salomon.

keep in mind dalbello only makes ski boots.

however if you have a super wide foot, you simply aren't gonna fit in them

Of course your prob a much better skier than I am.  The reason I got my boots to fit properly is because i am just learning...once you get really good at skiing boots are supposed to fit baggy....in fact the pros wear boots so big that they can fit their shoes on underneath.

Im guessing if you have the time to come on the internet and yell at all these people, weather there trying to helpyou or not, you probly are going to have more then enough time to get some boots fitted.

If you have enough time to ski then you are more then likely to have enough time to get your boots fitted. If you actually take the time to get your boots fitted, you will most likely end up having more time to ski because your legs wont be killing you.
