Ski shop jackasses

Ok so my friend is getting new skis mounted with new bindings and I tell him to make sure they mount them dead center or a little back from dead center so he calls them up and their like, "uh we dont do dead center, we have three settings we can mount your bindings. "Regular" which is the normal place, "insane" which is 3 cm forward of regular or,  "ADDICTED" which is 5 cm forward of regular."  So im like are you fucking kidding me? who the fuck do they think they are trying to commoditize something so simple as where you mount your skis. Like i just want go over there and bust out laughing in their face and maybe vomit a little on the counter. Discuss

Uh... yeah, draw a line (ALWAYS draw a line kids), point to it, and say, "mount them here please." If they say no, say, "Okay, I'll go somewhere else." Then leave. There's no need to be a dick to the shop guy even if he is telling you something utterly ludicrous. Denying them business is the best objection you can make to that sort of behaviour.

here's the thing, some shops mount only to the lines on the ski. not because they're being dicks but because they're told only to mount to the lines by their bosses.

if you don't like it, go head and go somewhere else. most shops don't care about your $25 mount

dude a mount near where i live is usually closer to $50, for 50 bucks i better get to be able to mount my skis wherever the fuck i want to

you are getting owned.... it literally takes 10 minutes to do a mount if they have a jig. shit, i only paid 25 when i had my skis mounted that had to be done freehand

That's what I thought.  How come when I buy skis from the shop it took them a week for them to mount them and call me to come pick them up.  Answer: they're assholes. 

I should just mount my own, how hard could it be

jay peak demo shop= most legit guys ever.  they mounted my bindings in literally 15 minutes and i was skiing on them that same day.  they do wax jobs in between runs and good jobs too. most shops are just chill like that
