My faunt got bigger

Alright, this is fucking pissing me off.  For some reason, my computer keeps pressing the control key without me even touching it.  I'll be scrolling and it'll change the font (ctrl + scroll), typing a letter such as F and it'll do a find (ctrl + F), or if I click a link it will open in a new tab (ctrl click).  I was even typing this post out, typed an R, and it refreshed the fucking page, so I had to retype it in notepad.  This isn't just firefox either, it happened a couple times in notepad and other programs too.  HELP ME NS

i dunno, because it will be fine for a bit and then just randomly press without me touching it, so i don't think it's a stuck key or something.

Try pressing both the left and right CTRL keys at the same time and
see if that releases CTRL.

Try this - Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Accessibility Options /
Keyboard Options.
Turn off CTRL lock if it's on.
If that solves it and to avoid future problems, press "Settings"
Turn off "Press modifier key twice to lock".
Turn on "Turn sticky keys off if 2 keys are pressed at once".
Or turn off "Use shortcut"

You could try removing your keyboard in device manager and reboot, let windows reload the drivers.

Could be a bad PS2 port

Could be a stack of things - troubleshoot those first and see how you go

probably worth mentioning that i'm on a laptop so i can't just try another keyboard.  I'll try what you sugested tho Silence, thanks.

did you read the thread?

The issue isn't the faunt, but the stuck Ctrl key.

Yep.  I tried looking for the accessibility options and I couldn't find it though. I'm on vista, which is probably my problem in the first place.
