Although a short lived relic of the 90's the SKI SKATE is by far the stupidest thing I have ever seen.  Basically they were ski boots with p-tex soles that you would "ski" down the hill on until you reached a screaming 10mph on, at which time your toe would dig in and you would face plant like a built in speed check, get up and repeat until you reached the bottom.   Anyone else recall these?  I can't even find an image of them.
