Why small Mtns. Rule

The reason i am posting this is cuz some bitch said that anyone who thinks Fort Kent Maine is the best skiing doesn't deserve to post on this board, FUCK YOU. Anyways, sure we only have a t-bar to take us up or hill but we make a good 50+ runs a day, and progress alot more, while other people are up on chairlifts that take forever to get up the Mtn. Also a seasons pass is under 100 bucks and we ski everyday because most of us live less then a mile away. Sure it is nice to take trips to big Mtns(and show everyone up) but i couldn't stand skiing there everyday, and paying the prices for it neither. I love Lonsome Pine Trails and fuck anyone who talks shit about it.

i couldnt stand skiing at a mountain with probably less than 50 vertical feet and only a tow rope. Whatever yanks your chain.

Dude i skied at a place that was 250ftvert with no chair lift and it fuckin sucked asshole, trust me u dont progress faster at shitty little dirt holes, i have progress so fast in the last two years b/c i have been driving to bigger mtns

you fags its not just a little dirt hill with a rope toe, it has a t-bar and 13 trails, with like 4 rails, a half pipe, and as many jumps as we want.

i'll stick to my hills with over a hundred runs thankyou and more than 2000 verticle feet and sunshine has all highspeed quads, it's doesn't take long at all

man you must progress really fast if you have 4 read it FOUR rails and a most likely just my assumption halfpipe with maybe 10 foot walls and no pipe dragon and probably a bunch of shitty small jumps.... i feel sorry for you. and expensive food is dodged by bringing your own or stealing it. your hill sucks your just in depression and you wish you had a decent hill.

you should go to europe. im sure youd either shit yourself or laugh, i dont know what kind of person you are. in any case i figure the longer it takes to get from one side of the mountain to the other the better. good for you, you get 50 runs... but that translates to 12000 vertical maybe? ok, well take 20 runs on 3000 vertical and youve got 60000. i bet your maountains tight, and way to support it, but dont say its the best, because it isnt. even ski bowl, the shittiest ski area west of the rockies probably, is better than that.

Well, at least you have it better then me, My local hill has chairlifts, and the most in the state, (Because they are every 20 feet) But its around 350-400 for a season ticket, to a mountain with one jump that is more or less a snow bank, and with a recently aquired pipe dragon, that some retard commands.

Hopefully it will be better this year, also, the pipe dragon made a quarter pipe last year, and it looked like it was made with a plow.

skiing on a hill with only 50 vert feet would make me go crazy. i dont ski on a very big mountain, but i can ski 10000 vertical feet in under an hour if i want, so that means i would be able to do almost as much skiing in a couple hours as you would be able to do in an entire day, so i doubt you would be able to progress faster at that rate

I ski in Ontario and we all know that there are limits to how good u can get there. like Blue is the best place, for the best riders, but its getting too crowded. you go to colorado and there are tons of parks on par with blue or better. you can progress better where the better park is. I teach at a small place called Craigleith. we have four rails (none good), a new pipe this winter (last years blew goats), and like one jump a year cause we dont have the hill space for more. the west is best for freestyle straight up. Or Europe but the places with good parks have no pipe. I was in verbier doing some work and the nearest pipe was like chamonix. thats too damn far!

Yah man, my local hill is about 600-700vert, 1 chair lift, a t bar, pony tow in the park, etc. I skiied there everyday all year, and then i went to banff for 7 days at the end of the year and i swear i made as much progress at banff in 7 days as i did all year at my local hill.

theres a little hill like that about 5 minutes from my house. its so sweet because if you are a member (which my friend is) you pay like 100 bucks and they show you how to operate the rope tow and turn on the flood lights. sure its only like 100 ft. vertical but there are no crowds at all and powder days you have the mountain all to yourself. for grooming they have some guy come by with a sled and drive up and down it a few times, but last year he didnt come by too much and it was all moguls and rails and shit. its like having a hill to yourself.

my hill is only bout' 150 verticle and it sucks. Most kids there are better in the park than kids iv'e seen out west. Prolly cuz thats all we do.
