hey how is rossi on their warranty claims. are they usually pretty stingy about stuff or what? my binding broke on like the 3rd day i used them. i think they would have a pretty hard time saying that this would happen with normal use. as you can see the the metal slide bent bigtime and the plastic piece of the tailpiece that runs inside that part just snapped. one shop guy told me i was s.o.l., but i also got the strange suspicion that he was an idiot and also harbored major resentment toward anything newschool. you know the type. here are some pics, so tell me what you think.
oh yeah i should've explained. when the guy was telling me what was up he actually said, and this is a direct quote, "well sir i think you are S dot O dot L dot. sorry." i thought that said a lot about him as a person.
well shop guys tend to be douche bags about warranties, probably for a number of reasons. but rossi has a pretty legit 5 year warranty on all their binderz so hopefully they hooks it up. when I tried to warranty my bindings through a shop the guy was like "no way will those be under warranty man cause that's completely your fault." and a bunch of other shit, so I sent them in through REI instead where I used to work and whattaya know they sent me brand new px12 in exchange for some old p10s.
From memory Rossignol offer a 1 or 2 year warranty on Bindings, which is extended to 3 or 4 if they are mounted on Rossignol Skis
Irrespective, it's fairly obvious that the bindings aren't damaged from normal wear and tear, and i doubt they are faulty, so you might be in a shitty spot. Send them in anyway - they are quite good.
Worst case, buy another pair and use the spare for parts?..
You won't be able to FIX those though, they will need be replaced by you or them
