Ok you really don't want to use anything similar to limewire. It's a terrible system invaded with viruses. There's a client called "transmission" (like the car part) it's a super easy to use client designed specifically for macs. It' gives you the ability to download portions of a torrent if, say; you only want three songs off some certain cd. Plus you can set it up to automatically search your downloads folder for .torrent files and then you can tell it exactly where to save files to (desktop, downloads, wherever) it's super customizable and definitely the best I have used on my mac.

Transmission is pretty good and definitely has that "mac look" to it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as well as Azureus even though it looks prettier. I used transmission for a few weeks but ended up back with Azureus. Transmission just got upgraded so I'll have to try it out again.

Azeurus works well on a PC but not quite as well on a mac. I use transmission personally. Azeurus is slightly faster on my computer but has a tendency to crash Macbook Pros when the computer wants to go to sleep or to shut off the screen.

uhhh... xtorrent costs money. Not saying you can't get it free somehow but Transmission is pretty similar. The great thing about Xtorrent is that it offers searching in the program right? You don't have to go through torrent sites?

I've been using Transmission for a long time. At first it wasn't as good as Azureus, but there have been so many upgrades in the last couple months that have really made it better.

Yea man. There have been an outrageous number of upgrades recently, almost obnoxious number, but it's been sweet, transmission is definitely one of the best strictly mac based clients. I used the bittorrent client for a while but I've greatly enjoyd the switch to transmission. um, utorrent is pretty good for all you PC users out there.

Bittorent has a program for mac that I use. I also use frostwire for music because its more manageable and I am a song getter not an album getter.
