I was looking into getting one- here is my problem- I work at Best Buy and get insane discount on a ton of stuff- but we dont sell Pentax- so maybe people could help me out- looking ofr an easy camera to get started with- want to have the ability to shoot 3+ frames per second- just wondering what to look at besides that- we carry Nilon Cannon Olypus and Sony so if you guys have any expierience with them that would help.
either canon or nikon are great esecially if you want to keep gradually getting new gear. olympus is great if you want something cheap and simple. olympus' bottom end gear (lenses) are quite good (imo) for the price compares with alot of other companys middish products i gues... well my old e-500 setup was great, but i needed to expand my gear and olympus lenses cost too much so thats why i switched companies
the entire pentax digital slr has been discontinued. new models will be out soon though.
buy a d80.
if you want me to go into details from a pro's point of view why nikon is better than canon just let me know
