Updating my oldschool bindings.

Im at work... this just popped into my head...
I got a pair of Marker Racing M48 TwinCam bindings... nothing is wrong with them at all. Yea they are old as hell, but they got a DIN setting of up to 14. never failed.. so why bother changing them.
The shop is probably going to try and talk me into getting a new set of bindings, and $ funds are at an all time low.

They are currently mounted direct to the base. Do you think its worth it to take them off install a riser plate and reinstall them?

I gotta get my bindings remounted, I just purchased new ski boots ( tecnica Agents.)

I would probably give the bindings a ghetto spraypaint job too for stealth.. for the helluva it... since they look stupid all red/white on top of my Viper Z Rossignols.

Or just upgrade and be done with it.

why are you remounting them for new boots

Well I compared the length of my old boots to these.. and these new boots are shorter... so then I tried cranking the back binding forward.. but it can only go so far... so wouldnt I have to have them re installed. right?
Plus if I get a plate.. wouldnt I have to too.. right? Or am I wrong? I can just unscrew and tap with longer screws for the riser plate? Do they come with them?

See how confused I am. Throwing money at it.. is my last resort.

BTW, I never installed bindings before... the most I ever done was tweek the DIN. I see where the screw moves the entire binding front or back... and I cant move it any further forward. Its barely on the boot when all the way forward.

suggestions?

alright... I cleaned out a bunch of gunk and was able to twist down the binding more... so my ski boots now fit. My only concern is that the dead center hash on my boots is about 1cm forward now... I dont think this should make a big difference... I got 188 skies.

what you think?
