Look binding problem

If anyone can help, please do, just looking for what the name of this piece is and where i might be able to find a replacement part at.

It's a look nova 100 (I know sorry my first pair of skis, bare with me) got caught up in some chop-ass snow tonight and it snapped off and my ski flew down the hill, i couldn't even find it for like 20 mins. Anywas where can i find that plastic clip/cover. Picture will be included just not sure if it will work this is my first time adding a pic.

Oh yeah, it's a look nova 10, duh..... is it just the break? if so where do i find one of these? googled it but didn't find much

I don't know enough about the Nova/Axium parts to know if the part that is cracked comes with a new brake, but i think it might - in which case just need a new brake - cost you a few bucks. Your shop may even have a spare or 2 lying around

I found a set of Nova 10 "Alpines" that have blue pieces on them for cheap, is that pretty much the same thing?

Now that i think about it i'm nearly positive that the cracked part comes with the brake, so just get a new one

The Rossignol Axium 100 is the Same binding as the Look Nova 10, so the brakes are compatible across bindings if you have trouble finding the Looks

that's actually helpful! thanks....... do you know if the blue "alpine" nova bindings are the same? seems to be.... both have a 3-10 din and look freakin identical except the blue.

Any Look Nova or Rossi Axium. Ask your shop to raid their parts bin and drop them some beers.

called the local shop, only have marker in no look or rossingol have to order, oh well, gonna try the shop at the mountain.

Well i think i might be getting those alpine nova 10's could i just take the current bindings i have on the skis and put the new bindings on using the existing holes? (assuming that they have the same holes to line up)

you shouldnt need new bindings they should be able to just replace the whole brake...   ^^

my mom has the exact same bindings,  so when i get home ill double check and post back

Its part of the brake.. just take it off, brakes are useless anyway.

just checked on my moms bindings and what you need to do is unscrew the middle screw. that will take off the brake completely, bring the brake to where ever you got the bindings, and buy a replacement.  hopefully they will have one, if not look around the internet and just buy new brakes... they will be sold in a pair if you buy them off the net but, thats not really a problem because then you have an extra if another one brakes.....

what ever you do dont let the shop talk you into buying a whole new set of bindings to fix a super simple problem.

Your an idiot.

You cant "take it off" like a P series of FKS brake, because it had a pad of plastic your boot rests on. if you take it off, you boot will sit about 1 cm lower, and your heelpiece wont engage.

Brakes are useful, especially if you fall. The last think you need is your ski going down the hill and hurting someone.

dont listen to this kid

brakes are very useful. just take the ski to your ski shop and see if they can find anything to replace it. if they have nothing just hit up the internet.

don't remount, just unscrew the brake and replace it.  Some shop has them somewhere, probably for very cheap to free.  Just keep calling shops on the phone you will find it.

Yeah, wasn't ever planning on riding with no brakes. i knew that as soon as i initially broke the brake.... cuz i was looking for my ski that flew down the hill and almost made it into the the woods. But went to Roundtop (PA) and the stopped in and the shop there had the brake, all the off mountain shops just had marker brakes WTF! Cost me 15 for on brake, but i might be getting those nova alpines for 10 bucks (or less) depending how the ebay bid goes. Thanks alot for the replies everyone
