Replying to What should I expect from a real boot fitting?

HiroProtagonist:
I bought new boots this year.  The problem is... is they dont fit all that well... and since they had been sitting around the shop for a few seasons, and were on pretty heavy sale... they wont do free boot work on them.

I'm getting pretty bad shin bang, and they are much too tight on the sides of the arches. My right ankle is also killing me. I have booster straps, and they help... but not much.

They are technica diablo sparks. The size is 26.5. I have extremely thin and bony legs and feet, which means the shell presses into my foot, because the thickness of the liner is not enough to compensate for my bonyness.

In short, it seems that I was swayed too much by the price, and made a bad choice.

Should I start over with another boot fitting. Try to sell these, get the boots that realllllly fit (whatever the cost), and keep them for the next few years?
