if you are actually going to ride long distances and at high speeds i wouldnt recommend it.  Id get something used with shimano 105 components. 

I have no experience with that bike besides the picture and price, but at that price it can't be very nice

it doesnt look that bad, tru vativ is quality parts in my experiance. but if you are gonna long and or fast i would spend more money.

yeah dude, spend a little bit more money. ive got 105 on my bike, its decent.  worthwhile if you're gonna be using the bike alot

dude i'm gonna be honest that thing is a piece of shit.  and don't buy a roadbike from walmart they aren't going to have anything decent.  My advice is to look on ebay or craigslist for a good deal on a used bike.  If you keep an eye out you can find a good quality used bike for around 500. And if you're somewhat serious about cycling stick to an 18 or 20 speed...three ring cranks are for pussies, and shimano tiagra components or better, sora is garbage. Ideally look for an 18 speed cause its gonna be cheaper and there's honestly no need for 20 speeds, you only really stay in a couple gears when you cycle. go to a bike shop and ask a lot of questions and make sure you know what size to buy lol. good luck man cycling is a great sport!

But yeah Sora is garbage.  Try find someone in your local area thats selling a decent bike for a good price, but if you can stretch to 600-700 then you'll probably find yourself an alright bike.
Triple chainsets arent for pussies, just get whatever the hell you like.  A compact would be good if you live in a pretty hilly area though

ya, everything these guys are saying is true..that bike is not going to be good..if you plan on progressing, dont get it..spend some more, and get a 105 groupo if you can

as i said, it depends upon what sort of terrain you're riding in

get a compact if you can, wide range of gears, less weight

if you go for a more expensive bike you wolnt be dissapointed. if you dont think it will make a difference test two bikes out. one in the $300 dollar range and one around $700. the difference will be huge.

i prefer to ride offroad and when i got my all mtn bike i first settled with a Gary Fisher Cake III, it had the lower quality components and for $700, honestly, i think it rode like shit. i went back to the shop and traded in and ordered up a Gary Fisher HiFi Pro (MSRP $2969) (paid 1200). when i first got on this bike i couldnt believe it. it felt stable, plush for a 5 inch travel bike, and remarkably fast on the trails. it was well worth the extra cash and i think if youre serious you should consider the upgrade.

That would be my choice. Great components, wheels, carbon fork, etc. For someone who is just starting to ride or just using the bike to get around and possibly get some road rides in then a 3 ring crankset is fine.

Look around on there and pick out something, anything over $500 or so on that site is going to be legit.
