See the problem is, I dont know where to put my hand. It seems so obvious... but then I put my hand down and there is no ground.

any tips? check my adlib!

try to rotate faster it looks close but like your arm colapses halfway trhough and you get stuck try a little faster and rotate a little faster. and nice stomach slide down

You are doing everything ok, but set your rotation a bit harder. think of doing an ally-oop flair (you more or less are now, but giving up halfway) and rotating around your hand that is planted.

word... that makes sense.

It was tough to find a good spot on a natural quarter. When I did have more speed though i ended up basically looping right out on to the deck... it was pretty funny. But annoying at the same time.

That'll happen. I suggest popping hard when you set the rotation.
