Gettin on to rails

at the park i go to the people there make it so that the rail starts half way up the jump to get on to it and the rail is like 3/4 foot high off the top of the kicker which has no lip. Does anyone elses park do this.

no they are flat rails but the lips to get on are so shitty you have to jump really high and you end up fucking yourself up

well, with a flat rail, it is stupid if the take off is flat.

I've seen those before, they are meant to be urban style flats. Jump from the side up and out a little so you land 1/4 down the rail. When I jump on from the side my front foot usually lands on the rail first if that is any help for you

if the lip is big enough you should be able to compensate with more speed.  is it totally flat or just minimal?
