today was a sad day. today, at mt bachelor, near bend, oregon, a poor man died. from what i've gathered, he was flying along the cattrack coming from the backside and lost control and slammed into several trees. he wasn't wearing a helmet and he hit his head fairly hard. his friend tried giving him cpr for about 20 minutes before ski patrol and they tried giving him cpr for 20 minutes before he was moved. my mom and her friend were skiing the backside and were stopped for about 10 minutes. after leaving, they passed a man that was covered in blood. absolutely soaked in it. he was the man's friend who tried to give him cpr and keep his brain in his head. literally, there was brain matter coming out of his head. i don't know the name of this man and it might be in the pacific nw news tommorow or sometime, but lets give him and all other others that have died doing the thing they love a little rememberence
